Apart from being a producer, GospelOnDeBeatz is an all-round musical maestro with great keyboard skills and also has the ability to take production from the four walls of a studio down to a live stage. With the aid of his live band, GospelOnDeBeatz brings alive productions and beats that are digitally made in the studio. A case in question is his recently released cover of Jesse Jagz’ “Sugar Cane Baby” where he employed the help of label mate LK Kuddy, this piece had all its elements played live. Gospel definitely has passion, but he’s also honed his skills by top-notch certification. He holds diplomas in Electronic Music Production, School of Audio Engineering (SAE) and a Diploma in Audio Engineering from the Audio Institute of America (AIA). Consequently, his versatility hasn’t relegated him to mainstream music as he’s created the signature montage sounds for both News hour and Kakaaki on Africa Independent Television (AIT).
Always hungry for new frontiers and challenges, GospelOnDeBeatz names his mentors as Tee-y Mix, Kelvin Bond, Quincy Jones, Cobhams, Timberland, David Guetta and Don Jazzy. Gospel is friendly, purpose driven and a fan of excellence. He is known to be patient on the job and one who shows commitment in all he does. And like he says, ‘ I can learn from anyone’. With the presence of our in-house producer (Gospelondebeatz) we have been able to work with artistes which turned into national hits in their own accords.
